Poker–and by extension, video poker –is a game that has built up its own tradition of belief systems and superstitions over the years. One common misconception that many video poker players fall prey to is thinking that it would be more effective to implement different strategies for the different variations of the video poker game. Many video poker players for example have different strategies for Triple Play Poker and single-hand poker.
The fact of the matter is that the same mathematical rules apply whether you are playing 3-, 5-, 10-, 50- or even 100-Play Poker video poker. Changing your strategy for every game in the hopes that it will give you more chances to get winning combinations is really a futile effort. This is because each and every hand in video poker has its own deck and you still have the same odds of getting a four of a kind hand in every video poker game.
